Getting ready for the spring show season is always just a little bit crazy, but this year was crazy times two.
From the moment I got my acceptance into the Central Arizona Cactus and Succulent Society’s (CACSS) annual sale my studio time has been focused on one thing, and one thing only – planters.
Now there is nothing wrong with making planters, in fact I’ve usually got a handful photographed and for sale in my online shop most of the year. They actually see pretty well online. Hmmm … maybe I should have more listed? Something to think about, but I digress.
At the time I received my acceptance, however, I had not one single planter in inventory.
Once I pulled myself together again, I mapped out a plan to get enough planters made and ready for CACSS’s show at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden.
I’m really excited about the planters that came out of my major planter production mode these past couple of months. I think they pay homage to my current texture series while having a style all their own. Check out the kiln unloading here.
Hope to see you in Phoenix for the show April 10th, 11th and 12th!
