I love creating handmade braided cords using a Japanese braiding technique called kumihimo. The cord I created for this pendant is actually one of the easiest cords to braid, but the addition of a single strand of fringe yarn spirals a around the braid creating the effect you see pictured.
Since learning how to braid these cords, I have created so many different ones with so many different yarns. I really enjoy not only the braiding process, but the interplay between the types of yarns. Each combination creates something completely different like this lovely fuzzy, fringe-y one.
